Senate Majority Policy Committee to Examine Veterans Workforce Programs

GLENFIELD – The Senate Majority Policy Committee, chaired by Sen. Dave Argall (R-29), will visit Glenfield next week at the invitation of Sen. Devlin Robinson (R-37) to discuss strategies to connect Pennsylvania veterans with workforce initiatives and other services.

The public hearing will take place on Tuesday, Mar. 18 from 1-3 p.m. at the Glenfield Valley Veterans Association, located at 108 East Beaver St., Glenfield, PA.

“Supporting veterans as they integrate back into civilian life is crucial for their overall wellbeing,” Robinson said. “I’m grateful to Chairman Argall and all the panelists who share my deep concern for ensuring our veterans have the proper physical and emotional healthcare, along with the resources needed to find meaningful jobs when returning home. Our men and women in uniform have given so much, and I’m glad to have this important conversation on how we in the legislature can give back to them.”

“Helping our veterans find meaningful employment and connecting them with the many services available to them is the least we can do when they return home to their families,” said Argall. “We should never leave behind any of our friends and neighbors who dedicated their lives to defending our nation and our freedoms.”

The public hearing will feature local nonprofits, union representatives, government officials, and other groups dedicated to helping our veterans assimilate back into civilian life and will be livestreamed on the Senate Majority Policy Committee’s website.
